These "Domestic Combines" merge unrelated domestic objects and cultural references that came into focus while at home for long periods of time during the pandemic. The collages combine selections from disparate photographs digitally, after which I integrated white acrylic paint. Also included are sample sketches derived from the original prints. In the sketches I explored how an image could be reduced by having parts extracted, and still remain recognizable. These sketches served as a bridge to the "Deconstructed Life" collection.
