These paper relief works explore the tension between constructing and deconstructing a whole.The process of shredding, cutting, tearing something singular like a patterned piece of paper or a printed image, only to reassemble the parts intrigues me. In time, layers of paper build and the work no longer feels disparate, rather self-referential as visual cues repeat and rhythms emerge.
