These collage studies aim to maximize the potential of color, pattern and layering strategies. They are an expression of a chaotic year, spinning between multiple demands and stresses. I strove for total presence of mind throughout the creative process, and avoided over conceptualizing the outcome. What resulted was a collection reflecting wind, water, fire and a little earth.

I am endlessly inspired by the layers of information on the streets of NYC where inevitably something unexpected is revealed through the juxtaposition of strangers' improvisational interventions. The terrain that emerges is vulnerable and exposed.
